For-profit colleges

I'm writing my essay on the for-profit colleges and how they are not providing a good enough education for our students. This in my opinion is preventing people from valuing a college education or looking into college because the colleges are misleading college. Also I am looking into how for-profit colleges are creating a college bubble that could be detrimental to the college community.

  1. OK -- this is a great topic, with lots of good material out there. You might start by looking at some of the statements by defenders of the for-profit colleges, beginning with the founder of the first big one, The University of Phoenix, John Sperling. Sperling wrote a book (titled "For-Profit Higher Education") on the for-profit model which is well worth a look -- and possibly a dissection. Also, a lot has been written that is rather positive about Sperling, including the book "Rebel with a Cause."

  2. I think you blog is an eye opener! But you have to be careful on the topics or posts that you do! Not all free colleges online does not provide quality education there are of course accredited online colleges that really give students good education.
